A Traditional Haddington Kitchen
This 1930s semi-detached house saw a major upgrade as we fitted this beautiful Haddington Kashmir kitchen.
The traditional design of this kitchen is enhanced with pewter handles, small drawers, a bookcase section for cookbooks and uses the classic cornice & pelmet design.
To help break up the suite of cupboards, we brought out the worktop in front of the hob and added rounded pilasters to either side for a softer, homely look.
With so many wall units and cupboard doors around the three sides of the kitchen, we chose a soft muted kashmir colour. This is contrasted with the darker worktops – a standard 40mm thick laminate finish which works great with the hand painted kashmir doors.
The fluid corner cupboards use a kidney bean shelf which utilises the full cavity of the cabinet space. This is ideal for any kitchen which needs to maximise on storage solutions.
This tap is one of our favourites. A Gosford tap with the option of flared ends on the handles to reflect the traditional design nature of the kitchen.
The tiling helps keep the kitchen looking fresh and updated, with a brick tile design, but a simple white and white grout finish so as not to impose on the colour theme of the room.
The customer wanted help and guidance from the builders and us to help her through the design process and installation. From building works through to the kitchen installation, we were very happy to be involved and ensure the entire project was completed to a high standard.
